HEDC Annual Meeting Recap 2026

How do we begin to express our gratitude to all of the attendees, guests, speakers, and supporters of Harrisburg Economic Development Corporation? Thank you, from our "I AM HARRISBURG" loving hearts! 

Special Guest State of South Dakota Lt. Govenor Tony Venhuizen spoke about the amazing growth of the City of Harrisburg, SD. 

South Dakota Governor's Office of Economic Development Bill Even was a guest! Thank you for joining us! 

We had a very special announcement from Ryan Martin with First Western Bank! 

Our leader, and event MC, was Marcus Mahlen, CCIM, SIOR! 

Our Professional Panel on economic growth tied to the school district, the city, real estate, and local business owners included Jennifer Lowery (Harrisburg School District 41-2), Amanda Mack, ICMA-CM, EMPA (City of Harrisburg, SD), Julie Roth (Julie Roth Real Estate Team), and Emily Studemann (Sugar Palace by Emily) with moderator of Tina Heeren (Gil Haugan Construction). It was a wonderful discussion and all agreed there is an underlying commitment to support growth and expansion while keeping Harrisburg's small town charm!

During the annual meeting, we announced the hashtag#ImagineHarrisburg Task Force! hashtag#HEDC is working with Maximizing Excellence, LLC to create a strategic plan for the FUTURE of Harrisburg! We are fortunate to have had all our task force requests be answered with a YES!
